Our firm, FIWI-HŰT Ltd., was established in 1994. Our game meat export plant in Toldi Miklós Street in Tata is registered with and accredited by the European Unio.
Registration number HU-91
The company’s core activity is the purchase and processing of big game from hunting (red deer, fallow deer, wild boar, roe deer and moufflon), and the sale of big game products.
In our first year, we purchased 200 tonnes of game animals, but by 2004, the figure increased to 1,000 tonnes, while in 2012, we purchased over 2,000 tonnes.
Due to the features of the plot that our first plant occupies, major technological development was not possible there, so in a green-field investment project, we built a modern game meat processing plant that complies with the highest European standards on an 8,300 m2 plot of land within the Tata Industrial Park.
The festive inauguration of the new plant took place on 24 August 2013. The 1650 m2 facility, its machinery and equipment all comply with the strictest professional and official regulations.
As of 27 August 2019, we added compliance with the IFS Food Standard to the HACCP system we had already had in place.
The number of our export licence is HU-1163
Currently, both our plants are used for production. The quality of our products is guaranteed by the expertise of our master butchers, and we export almost all of it to Western Europe (ten member states of the European Union).
However, domestic retail sales are also on the rise. Our game meat products are now available in quality packaging, in frozen but also fresh, cooled formats among the premium delicacies on offer at a number of supermarket chains (Lidl, Spar, Tesco).
We would be very happy to welcome you in our circle of satisfied customers in the future.
